WE ARE DRAGON SCALE STUDIOS
Formed in June 2023, we are a team of six graduates from the University of South Wales in Cardiff. We took part in the Tranzfuser 2023 programme and won the Public's Vote at Insomnia 71 for our game, Set Sail!
We successfully took part in DunDev 2024, Tentacle Zone and Indie Lab Games, all to gain more knowledge and experience on how to build a successful studio.
In the meantime, we have shipped our first game, Set Sail! Arena, and now we are flying forward with full development on Set Sail! and other exciting projects, and hope you'll join us on our journey.

MIGHTY
We are bold and want to make a statement in the industry.
Internally we want to act sustainably, not relying on crunch and ensuring that everyone that works for or with us enjoys doing so. That means collaboration is a strong part of our values.
GAMES
We are not bound by genre or setting. We make the games that we are passionate about. We make games that we love making, and that you love playing.
There is still so much potential for new, unique and exciting games that we want to explore. Whether they're social and chaotic, cinematic and emotional or just fast and fun, we make games.
WELSH
We are proud to be Welsh and part of a growing industry in this part of the UK.
We also stand for supporting graduates and juniors, especially in Wales, who struggle to find jobs in the industry, and our long term goals involve directly supporting graduates getting jobs, much like we're trying to support ourselves.
AMBITIOUS
We are ambitious and though we may only be recent university graduates we believe we belong in the industry as a big player.
We are not bound by genre or expectations and simply want to deliver the best games to as many people as possible.
FUN
Most importantly, we want to bring a sense of fun back into gaming, making games that are fun, accessible, exciting and new.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, and want to put on a show wherever we go. Here's the proof!
